Literally perhaps ii weeks agone died in a cavern and lost all my enchanted stuff
Still i came across that cave and decided to deport on exploring it. My stuff was still there after two weeks?

I suspect that the chunk(s) that the items were in hadn't been updated since y'all reappeared at spawn or your bed.
You got to them before the timer ran out from getting into update range.
If you had died in the spawn chunks the items would have despawned regardless since the spawn chunks are always loaded no thing where in the world your are. Which is why my iron farms are always in the spawn chunks.

It means that since you lot died you:
1. Did not come up within (return distance) of the chunk you died in for two weeks.
2. When you lot did come within that range, you reached your stuff in less than 5 minutes.

If you're far away from the place yous died, and then your items won't despawn until you enter the aforementioned clamper the items are in.
As soon as you enter that chunk, a timer volition activate substantially, and y'all merely have a modest amount of time to catch the items till they despawn.

Not the same clamper, but within (render distance - 2) chunks, and so if your render altitude is ten all items inside 8 chunks will count down to despawning (entities, including items, are simply ticked if a 5x5 chunk expanse around them is loaded. This does non apply to very low render distances; 2 chunks doesn't just tick entities in the chunk y'all are in).
