Has pretty good flavor. I used footing beef instead of beef sirloin considering it was all I had, but it still worked well.

I used left over Tri-tip, added sliced fresh mushrooms and about 2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce, and I used a can of Golden Mushroom soup instead of the Cream of Mushroom Soup. Very tasty! Came together in no time and it's a swell left-over brand-over recipe!!! No one in the family unit will eat left-overs and then I take to be cleaver and disguise left-overs and plough them into something new. This fooled everyone at the tabular array, no one suspected that I used left-over Tri-tip in this dish. I'm so sneaky :+)

Very yummy and oh and then quick and easy! First batch was a footling thick; I think next time I will add together water or beefiness broth until it's a preferred consistency. Volition definitely make this again and again.
05/25/2010
My husband loved this dish! I only gave it iv because I modified it slightly: I doubled the reciped, I substituted ground beef for the round steak (only I only used just a lilliputian over a pound), I didn't add the flour, I added i/iv c. of milk (it would have been likewise thick), and I used cavatappi instead of egg noodles. Much easier to handle and the sauce clung very well to them. All in all, a practiced recipe, I will endeavor it again, but I'll add some fresh sauteed mushroom, some peas, and possibly substitute roasted chicken for the beefiness!

Quick and easy recipe! I used 2 cans of the cream of mushroom, used one cup of fat-gratuitous sour cream added black pepper and garlic herb spice and it was superb! Will definitely make again!
01/13/2011
I would give 3 1/2 to 4 stars for the season, but combined with the ease to make, that definitely bumps it up to a 5 star recipe. I make with frozen meatballs for a super fast meatball stroganoff that'southward ready to eat in under 20 mins!
01/02/2011
This besides works with ground beef or ground turkey. I as well add a nuance of worchestershire and a little dried basil and if it's too thick, a little beef broth. If I take information technology, I like to add a cup or so of sliced fresh mushrooms when I saute the onion. It'due south a lot like the SOS that I grew up with as a kid. It'southward great over mashed potatoes or fresh fluffy biscuits.
08/04/2011
Tasty and east version of the classic. I skipped the sour foam as I had none but information technology would take been meliorate if I had added it. Nevertheless, a yummy dish. The round steak took forever to get tender, though. I simmered it in beef stock and it cooked for nearly an hour!
02/09/2008
This was very easy to brand and tasted great. The only change I made was I used ground turkey instead of beef strips. Volition make again.
03/29/2014
This recipe? Banal and blander... I tried the 1/2 cream of mushroom, 1/ii golden mushroom combination. I added a flake of Worcestershire sauce (equally some reviewers suggested). I'thou really unsure how this recipe has so many positive reviews. Maybe it's me.
03/x/2011
Easy weeknight dinner!
02/23/2012
First-class recipe (made mine in the crockpot... And when I served it to my family sprinkled it w/French's onions... Total oversupply pleaser!
03/18/2009
Pretty good! I followed the recipe pretty shut, just added some seasoning to the meat when browning and as well added some fresh mushrooms that I had sauteed in garlic for the extra veggies. That gave it that extra something it would take needed. Everything else was exact and I served over whole wheat rotini. Its going in my recipe box for certain!
04/15/2012
Would not recommend. I did not care for this.
10/13/2011
Because I don't eat meat, I replaced the beef with fresh portabella mushrooms, and added some broccoli. Delish!
05/21/2010
Fast & piece of cake..i did add a dash of common salt and pepper...only information technology was nifty...even my son liked it...Will brand again. I fabricated enough for leftovers, much to my surprise...there were none! So information technology was a hit!
05/04/2009
pretty tasty.
06/23/2014
Quick, easy, and tasty! I marinated the steak in a tad of salt, vegetable oil, and Worcestershire sauce for an hour before cooking in the fridge. The meat was really tender.
06/10/2013
I did this using stewing beefiness for the meat and served information technology with quinoa (I didn't accept whatsoever regular pasta on paw.). I liked how simple it was. The flavor and consistency were expert. For me this recipe gets bonus points for having few ingredients, all of which were readily available in my kitchen when I needed a quick dinner in a pinch. I'll probably use this once more, though possibly not too oft considering it is somewhat rich. :)
09/20/2008
I love this recipe. Super easy and quick. I also use basis turkey, but I add fresh sauteed garlic for a petty extra kick.
08/08/2008
Very proficient my family loved it.
eleven/26/2010
Couple of suggestions: two cans of cream of mushroom, added 1 beef bouillon cube with 1/iv milk which made it more than ceamy and more flavor. Volition make again!
01/16/2014
Fantastic! I used leftover tri tip, some water, beefy onion soup mix and cayenne pepper. I was so delicious!!!
10/ten/2010
Followed recipe but fabricated these changes: Increased foam of mushroom soup to 2 cans, 1tsp paprike, added 8 oz canned mushrooms, 2tbls Worcestershire sauce, 1tsp garlic powder, one/ii tsp salt, pepper to sense of taste, and almost 1c sour cream. Side by side fourth dimension I'd love to endeavor with fresh mushrooms but canned is all I had on hand.
12/06/2014
It doesn't sense of taste terrible but I would non make this over again. It only tastes similar mushroom soup on noodles. I'thou removing this 1 from my recipe box.
12/22/2009
This was very good and fast to the table also. I used another half can of soup though equally it was actually thick and added a splash of milk. I stirred the pasta right in. My family loved this dish. I used ground beef instead. Thanks!
11/25/2013
For how fast and easy information technology was, this is a v-star recipe. I sauteed a small chopped onion and a handful of fresh mushrooms and used ground beef. I also tossed my cooked egg noodles with butter and parsley. I served it with steamed broccoli and yeast rolls, and nosotros really enjoyed it. Cheers, Campbell's! :)
12/xv/2010
This was very fast and super piece of cake to brand! It only took me less than 30 mins to brand it... every bit long equally it takes to boil the noodles. I used ground beef that I precooked and froze from the freezer, so information technology made it that much easier! I also added a tin of sliced mushrooms, yummy!
07/22/2014
This is a quick way to brand beef stroganoff on a busy night but the sense of taste is the tradeoff. This is passable, and I may render to it when I accept a craving only don't take much time, but it lacks the depth of season.
03/28/2010
i didnt measure out the egg noodles, just used a whole 12 oz package. and instead of topping the sauce over the noodles, i mixed it into the noodles which was not a skilful idea equally there was not plenty sauce to coat the noodles! adjacent time i will double the sauce mixture. also used ground beef since its more economical and thinned out the sauce with a piffling beef goop.
03/fourteen/2012
I am giving this a four star due to cracking basic and easy recipe. However for mine I did apply the sirloin and the sour foam. I doubled the soup and added 1 tbs. worcestershire. And I added one soup tin can of h2o (too thick). Besides when you read the directions (if I read them right) there is no demand to separate anything. Using the steak I used information technology created wonderful juices and I cooked the onion with the steak and seasoned well. I kept it together to go along the flavor. Easier and meliorate! I likewise added peas to the plates with my non picky eaters :) Tasted great and anybody loved!
02/05/2014
This is a keeper. Added 2tsp of Worchester Sauce. Might increase it next time.
02/fourteen/2012
I did not intendance for this! Might as well make a bowl of Cream of Mushroom and add steak. The mushroom flavor is overwhelming and not one of my kids liked it. Waste of proficient steak!
02/13/2011
This came out very well. What I actually needed was a expert guide line of ingredients, and an lodge to make the dish. After that I add or take as needed. Only on this ane I followed it, and I was really surprised equally to how good it came out. All-time of all, it was quick. My family loved it. Thanks again.
06/03/2014
I was preparing one of the basis beef helpers with double meat, which I seasoned well with dried minced onion and steak seasoning, and needed more sauce and I chose this recipe to supplement and was presently surorised. It's was really as well thick and so I added a little milk and Worcestershire sauce resulting in a very skilful flavorful sauce. I volition go on this in my recipe repertoire
03/xv/2012
This was very quick to make. Information technology's probably non more difficult than archetype stroganoff, just less time consuming and you can go far when you don't have fresh ingredients. Reading the other reviews I run across many of us fabricated similar alterations with better results. one. two cans of soup ( I used 1 tin cream of craven and 1 can cream of mushroom) 2. more seasonings (seriously) I used garlic powder, parmesan cheese and fresh ground pepper. I also used yogurt and the whole purse of noodles. Yummy. I would brand this over again with the addition of fresh mushrooms.
05/27/2012
I sauted fresh mushrooms with the onions low and wearisome until they caramelized. And so I added my ground beefiness and cooked through. I likewise added a tablespoon of worchesterchire sauce for kick. Information technology was succulent!
ten/22/2010
I must have done something wrong because this was non good at all.
03/07/2015
Really adept
10/22/2013
I can't even give this A Star it was so bad. Fifty-fifty used the aureate mushroom soup :( I don't know what happened merely not proficient. Will mayhap lodge a pizza now.
05/26/2010
I've been using this recipe for years. Information technology's a cracking stand by, quick weeknight repast, and good condolement food. The only thing I change is the foam of mushroom soup, I'chiliad allergic to mushrooms then I substitute cream of craven or celery or any I happen to take on manus. Dried minced onion can exist substituted for the onion (this also cuts down the prep time if y'all're in a hurry)
05/26/2010
It was a quick and easy recipe but I had to change it so much to make the sauce the correct consistency and added extra spices because information technology was so banal. Sorry won't be making this ane again.
01/02/2011
I grew up with this dinner, and then when my boyfriend visited I thought it would be nice to make information technology. I followed the recipe exactly and it was just o.grand. It tasted alright, only was on the bland side. Not how I always remembered it.
05/10/2010
I've made this twice now. The first time, i made information technology as written, and it was great. Second time, i added a clove of garlic and 1/ii a green pepper, chopped, when the onions were most done. (I like green pepper slightly crunchy, not mushy, and then i merely sauteed them for a few minutes.) Again, it was very good. Easy ingredients, and quick to make. Perfect for a busy mum like me!
07/27/2012
Huge hit with the family!!
11/02/2013
disappointing, very bland.
01/21/2015
nothing special well-nigh this. no season
05/10/2010
Quick & easy to brand.
01/25/2013
Too thick and pretty bland. could work in a pinch but it needs lots of doctoring up to get it to accept whatsoever flavor.
07/08/2009
Loved the flavor! I practice recommend marinating the beef the night before cooking because it was a picayune tough. But overall a cracking dish.
09/26/2012
This recipe is my Granddaughter's favorite! I have to brand this every time she visits. It's easy and tastes sooooooo good!
11/26/2010
Couple of suggestions: 2 cans of cream of mushroom, added i beef bouillon cube with 1/4 milk which made it more ceamy and more than flavor. Will make once more!
11/08/2015
It tasted great b 4 adding the mushroom soup. I marinated the beef in a strong beef base/beef stock. After browning the steak and sauteing the onion, I put aside, then added the beef base of operations mixture and some cornstarch to the pan to thicken. And then add back the meat/onions and sour cream. I forgot the soup simply information technology tasted great and wondered if I should just exit the soup out. Well, I added it and fabricated it taste banal. I'll add more worchester.
09/15/2020
Disappointed
ten/23/2017
Ok base, but needed a lot more seasonings. Subbed golden mushroom and added garlic and sharp cheddar and it was better...
10/09/2012
My husband loved it. I doubled recipe, added salt, pepper,&emerils "BAM" seasoning plus garlic.Above seasonings were added to ea.layer plus coated noodles with butter & added real mushrooms.Ate w/ garlic bread & YUM!
01/04/2013
We had this this night and information technology reminded me of dishes I used to brand in the 70's. My husband, a meat and potatoes guy, loved it but me, not and so much. It was just O.K. It was very thick and so I added water after I'd added the soup. I won't brand this 1 once again.
10/22/2010
I must have washed something incorrect because this was not good at all.
10/05/2013
Nosotros prefer stew meat and beef broth instead of water for a more than intense flavor. I besides slice my onions thick and so they practice not melt downwardly and become invisible. I have tried this both means and this is our preference as a family. I have made a double recipe for family dinners with a big salad, glazed carrots, hot rolls and our favorite dessert. My family loves me even more when I cook this delicious meal!
03/26/2010
This ane was actually good. I added a little more sour cream to get in creamer and some lemon juice and a bit of franks ruby-red hot sauce to give it a bit of a bite.
02/27/2009
I have been using this recipe for years. It is i of my husband'south favorites. Its economical & fast. I utilise the fat free soup & nobody can tell the difference.
03/xiii/2013
I really use the crock pot and slowly cook the beefiness (usually a pot roast) and add the soup in the last 60 minutes or so. I besides Add Worcestershire sauce and beefiness broth! Very Yummy
06/08/2009
I cook vegetarian so used Worthington Tender Rounds instead of meat. I followed the residue of the recipe as follows and it turned out great. Have made once more.
02/fourteen/2017
I love this recipe. Quick, easy and very tasty. I volition sometimes apply lean basis beefiness in this recipe and add 1/2 cup of sliced dark-green peppers.
08/02/2009
Very Adept, but sauce is too thick. Recipe is plenty or two. Another review suggested beefiness broth, apply at least 1/2c. Also try using onion soup mix instead, otherwise an excellent stroganoff!!!:)
08/03/2009
This is so basic and piece of cake, even my picky kid liked it. *snicker* He thought the portabello mushrooms I added were beefiness! I used VERY sweet onions and practically burned them giving it a rich sweet flavor. I agree that the sauce is too thick, however after I added a piddling Worcestershire sauce, I remember it was fine. I call back the proportions I used were: a big can (information technology said '45% more') of Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup and nigh a cup (maybe more than?) of total fat sour cream.
03/xiv/2017
quick and like shooting fish in a barrel and great tasting.
07/05/2010
Very easy. Cheers for all the tips! I used ground venison. I do not utilize any oil. I added fresh garlic and a tin of mushrooms. Very good!
03/05/2010
I have been making Stroganoff this fashion for years. Super Piece of cake and Succulent! I use veggie crumbles to make it vegetarian for me and utilize ground beef for the hubby. Sometimes I utilize fresh mushrooms, sometimes canned, whatever I accept fourth dimension for. I ever throw some garlic (a clove or two) in with onion and meat. Other than that I make information technology exactly as written.
10/16/2012
Dearest this recipe! Instead of the beef I used canned venison and it was out of this world amazing!!
07/21/2016
This is a great recipe .. i merely added some fresh mushrooms and fried all the steak, mushrooms and onions together .. and awesomeness ensued. Also added some soul nutrient seasoning as well. And sick definitely be making this again.
07/24/2010
This is an amazingly piece of cake and satisfying dish!
04/17/2016
I didn't make any changes. this recipe was fashion to dry. I do non encounter myself making this again
10/28/2009
I made this for dinner yesterday, it is really practiced! I added a pocket-sized container of fresh sliced mushrooms to the ingredients, that is the only thing I did differently than what is called for. The husband loved it and information technology has officially been added to the rotation list
01/31/2013
I've made this quite a few times, and it's really a skillful base. Every bit is, it is pretty tasty and definitely worth making. To make it extra skillful, I add together some more mushrooms when cooking the onions, and then add in about 1 tbsp of mustard and a bit of worcestershire sauce. And now I love it!
01/07/2010
Surprisingly very skilful. Family actually enjoyed.
11/28/2012
I make this ALL the time, so easy and succulent!
07/sixteen/2016
We thought information technology was good. I added a good corporeality of garlic pulverization, s &p & Worcestershire sauce to the meat & and then to the onions. Tasty! Served with parm cheese
06/18/2017
I understand this is 'base' recipe. Having used allllll the ingredients, I am i of those who similar to add things, I.e. Sweetness peas and carrots. I used beef cubes cut into smaller sizes and marinated them a few hours prior to shaking them in flour and adding to olive oil. In the finish, I drained the noodles and mixed everything together. My taste-tester married man said it has peachy flavor! Happy Father's Day! Next, I'm making an apple pie-bfilling well-baked/dump cake institute on my become-to recipe app which is right here! (as I was working on this recipe, I marinaded the apples in cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
02/05/2018
My family loves this dish. I use ground beefiness or mutton making it a quick and easy 'go to' on nights when I'm pinched for fourth dimension and have no supper ideas.
12/15/2018
This was non a reminiscence of the beef stroganoff I've always eaten before! Information technology was likewise runny, didn't accept whatever flavor of the sour cream, and just by and large wasn't practiced! Even my hubby, who tin swallow anything, didn't intendance much for it. I think I will go on on looking for a good recipe
11/11/2019
Added Lipton recipe secrets (1/ii pouch) and used basis beef over rice.
06/04/2018
Yes, I used 3 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1/2 cup two% milk, two pounds of sparse sliced round steak, probably a i/4to 1/8th inch thick cut into 2 bite size pieces and I added i pocket-size can of Mushrooms, chopped. Absolutely delicious and fed six people with a small amount left over.
